Add a Beatle to the List, Ringo Starr Becomes Latest Musician to Cancel Show in North Carolina in Opposition of HB2
Another musician joined the cast of musical stars that have boycotted North Carolina over recent anti-LGBT legislation.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
(Beatles) “I get by with a little help from my friends.”
Ringo Starr has cancelled an upcoming concert scheduled for North Carolina. The former Beatles drummer canceled the show set for June 18 in protest of the state’s anti-LGBT legislation.
Starr wrote, “I’m sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love.”
This past week Bruce Springsteen canceled a show in the state as part of an unorganized boycott against the law, which opponents say discriminates against the LGBT community.
