California’s Governor Officially Signs $15 Minimum Wage Deal

California’s Governor has officially signed a bill to raise minimum wage to $15 an hour by the year 2022.

    FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal reports:

It’s been raised to $15 an hour. over the next six years:

(Brown) “Economically minimum wages may not make sense, but morally and socially and politically they make every sense because they bind the community together and makes sure that parents can take care of their kids.”

Governor Jerry Brown acknowledged this bill wouldn’t have gotten through without pressure from union groups who threatened to put minimum wage measures on the ballot.

Several business groups and owners say this will hurt their ability to hire in the future, and result in higher prices for goods and services.
