Pennsylvania Seven-Week-Old Baby Found Safe After Amber Alert
A parent’s worse nightmare has a happy ending for a Pennsylvania family.
FOX’s Tom Graham explains:
A baby snatching at the King of Prussia mall near Philadelphia prompting an Amber Alert for seven-week-old Ahsir Simmons. Investigators say a woman befriended the fussy baby boy’s mother in the food court:
(Nolan) “Our suspect in this case asked if she could hold the child to try and calm.”
Upper Merion Township police chief Tom Nolan says the mother accepted the help:
(Nolan) “At some point mom goes to take a phone call and is also dealing with some other children. And while dealing with those other children on the phone, our suspect walks off with the baby.”
Investigators released mall surveillance video of the kidnapping. That led to a tip, which led law enforcement to a nearby home where little Ahsir was found safe.
