New Poll Shows Donald Trump In the Lead for GOP Nomination

A new Quinnipiac poll is out, putting Donald Trump in the lead for the GOP nomination.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:

The clear leaders in the new Quinnipiac University poll are Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. On the Democrat side, Clinton leads Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders 50 to 38%.

For the GOP, Trump has 43%, with Senator Ted Cruz next at 29%, followed by Ohio Governor John Kasich with 16%.

It comes as Cruz gets an endorsement from a former competitor, Jeb Bush has thrown his support behind Cruz, calling on fellow Republicans to do the same.
