A nine-year-old fourth grade student in California got the best tardy note from a legendary rocker.
FOX's Krystin Goodwin reports:
(Springsteen) "Dancing in the dark..."
A nine-year-old California boy's story going viral after Bruce Springsteen wrote him a tardy note excusing him for being late to school after attending his concert.
The fourth grader named Xabi Glovsky, and his dad went to Springsteen's performance at the Los Angeles Sports Arena Tuesday.
Since the concert was bound to go pretty late, the boy brought a sign that read "Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note."
The concert went on for hours, but Springsteen ended up spotting the boy's poster and brought the young fan backstage.
He wrote a letter to the boy's teacher, this is Springsteen, excusing him, writing he was, "Rocking and Rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy!"
