President Obama Asks Remaining Presidential Candidates to Tone Down Negative Language

President Obama asks presidential candidates to tone down the negative language.

FOX’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:

“Vulgar… corrosive…” President Obama talking about what we’re hearing this year from candidates. He says there’s too much vicious rhetoric aimed at women and minorities, tearing down Americans who vote, pray or look somehow different.

He calls it the darker side of politics, a race to the bottom:

(President Obama) “I reject any effort to spread fear or encourage violence or to shut people down when they’re trying to speak or turn Americans against one another.”

The President says think of what we’re teaching our children and what we should be teaching them.
