Marco Rubio Suspends Presidential Campaign
After losing to Donald Trump in Florida during Tuesday’s primary results, Senator Marco Rubio announced that he’s suspended his campaign.
FOX’s Eben Brown reports:
Marco Rubio ends his campaign in Miami, his hometown, where he started his campaign and nobody seemed too upset:
(Supporter) “We love you Marco.”
(Rubio) “I love you too.”
But Rubio told the crowd that he’s glad he kept a optimist tone for as long as he could, that was his goal:
(Rubio) “From a political standpoint, the easiest thing to have done in this campaign is to jump on all those anxieties I just talked about. To make people angrier, make people more frustrated, but I chose a different route and I’m proud of that.”
And while he doesn’t know what his own future will bring, he takes comfort and pride that his elderly immigrant mother voted for her own son for President of the United States.
