Republican National Committee Files Two Lawsuits Against Hillary Clinton
The Republican National Committee has filed two lawsuits in federal court seeking records and emails of Hillary Clinton and her colleagues at the State Department.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
The first suit seeks electronic records sent to and from Hillary Clinton to her senior advisors. The second suit seeks communications between senior State Department officials, Clinton’s presidential campaign and other Clinton allies after her time at the State Department.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus told FOX News that the State Department has failed to comply with records requests in a timely manner as required by law:
(Priebus) “We have a right for the State Department to comply with our request. The State Department doesn’t have the freedom to just blow off a political party.”
Both of the RNC’s lawsuits were filed under the Freedom of Information Act.
