Lawmakers continue to struggle with how to respond fully to an increasing threat of Zika virus in the U.S., as more cases are discovered.
FOX's Eben Brown reports from Miami:
Wednesday's House Appropriations Committee discussed diverting funds already set aside, but unused for the Ebola pandemic of 2014 to now be re-directed to efforts in research, prevention, and vaccine production for Zika.
Florida's Surgeon General spoke before as transportation subcommittee about the state's efforts in preventing public transit from being a viral conduit in a state often filled with international tourists.
Hearings will continue, as it's learned three pregnant women in Florida who recently traveled abroad are now infected with Zika.
