Durable Goods Orders Rose Almost Five Percent in January

There’s news out on the economy.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

The manufacturing industry has gone through recent struggles, but a new report shows orders for so-called durable goods rose nearly five percent in January to the fastest pace in 10 months.

Those are manufactured products, like cars and planes and appliances. And a category that tracks business investment plans showed a nearly four percent increase, the most since June 2014.

Another government report has first-time jobless claims, rising 10,000 to 272,000, though that is still considered historically low.
