Republicans of the Senate Judiciary Committee Say They Won’t Consider Supreme Court Nominee

No hearings, for a Supreme Court nominee, this year. If Republicans on a key committee, get their way, making an election-year stand.

    FOX’s Jared Halpern reports:

All 11 Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee agree they will not consider any Supreme Court nominee until the next President is sworn-in next year:

(Graham) “This is gonna go to the American people, end of story. I’m not gonna meet with a nominee.”

Committee Republican Lindsey Graham says Democrats would do the same thing if the scenario were flipped.

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid says if committee chair Chuck Grassley follows through:

(Reid) “He’ll go down in history as the most obstructionist judiciary chair in the history of our country.”

President Obama has said he intends to make a nomination in due time.
