Christian Professor Who Wore a Headscarf as Sign of Solidarity with Muslims Parts Ways with College

    A Christian college in Illinois and a professor part ways.

    FOX’s Pam Puso has more:

    Dr. Larycia Hawkins is no longer teaching at Wheaton College near Chicago:

    (Hawkins) “I have no hatred in my heart for Wheaton college.”

    That’s what the political science professor said last month after she was suspended for posting on Facebook that Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

    Hawkins had also started wearing a headscarf as a show of solidarity with Muslims:

    (Hawkins) “We are Christians, and Muslims, and Jews, and Atheists, whoever, that all religions believe in justice.”

    Over the weekend, Hawkins and the school reached a confidential agreement. Proceedings that could have led to her dismissal had been set to start
