Rick Santorum has become the latest casualty on the campaign trail, dropping out of the Republican presidential race after Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee did so.

FOX's Jessica Rosenthal has the story:

The former Pennsylvania Senator and two time presidential candidate just did not have the momentum he had four years ago when he won Iowa. This year he came in eleventh. He told FOX's Greta van Susteren...

(Santorum) "The best way I can do what I set out to do when we announced to run for President to help working men and woman in the country to get a better opportunity, to defeat ISIS and stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, take on the national security threats of our country and really try to help foster and support stronger families America can be done by not furthering our campaign, by not continuing our campaign."

Santorum said he wanted to endorse someone who would help the middle class, had good family values, and a real understanding of national security threats so he said he's backing Marco Rubio.
