Denver Man Pays $6,000 for Fake Super Bowl 50 Tickets
A warning ahead of Super Bowl 50.
FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:
Tickets for Super Bowl 50 are cheaper than expected. You can get into Levi’s Stadium for less than $3,000.
Just a fraction of the nearly $10,000 it cost last year. But those lower prices mean there’s more interest in tickets, making the market more attractive for scammers.
Cody Sudmeier in Denver paid $6,000 for two tickets to a guy selling them on Craigslist:
“I get the envelop, there’s no signature required. It feels a little light to be carrying these tickets. So, I open it up and it’s just blank paper inside.”
Cops tracked down his scammer, they say it’s a man in Kansas.
