Iran Gives Medals To Commanders Who Detained U.S. Soldiers

Iranian naval commanders get medals for capturing American sailors.

FOX’s Jessica Golloher has the details:

The five Iranian Naval Commanders, who detained 10 American sailors on January 12, have been awarded with the medals that are typically given to war heroes, politicians and military commanders.

The American sailors were captured after their boats ventured into Iranian waters due to a malfunction in one of the vessel’s navigational systems.

Tehran initially accused the sailors of spying, but they were released 24 hours after being taken to Farsi Island in the Persian Gulf.

Meanwhile, tension between Tehran and Washington continues after Iran flew an unmanned drone over a U.S. aircraft carrier operating in international waters last month.
