Obama Administration Expanding Equal Pay Program
The White House wants to better enforce equal pay laws.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The Obama administration is expanding its equal pay data collection program. In 2014, President Obama directed the Labor Department to collect data from federal contractors on what they pay employees, sorted by gender, race, and ethnicity.
Now, the President wants all businesses with 100 or more employees to supply equal pay data to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The government will use the data to help identify companies that should be investigated for failing to pay workers fairly.
