Labor Department Says Inflation Increased in 2015
Two new economic indicators out are giving a better picture of the U.S. economy.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
As a result of a big decline in energy prices, U.S. consumer prices fell in December .1% after a flat reading in November.
For the entire year, the Labor Department says overall inflation was up just .7%.
Meanwhile, U.S. housing starts dipped 2.5% in December, but construction for all of 2015 rose to its highest level since 2007.
December was the ninth straight month that starts were above 1-million units. That’s the longest run in eight years.
