‘Star Wars’ Actor Mark Hamill Unhappy about Forged Autographs

The actor who plays Luke Skywalker in ‘Star Wars’ takes on a new battle.

Think you have a ‘Star Wars’ poster autographed by actor Mark Hamill? Maybe not.

The actor who portrays Luke Skywalker says there are countless forgeries out there and he’s tired of unscrupulous dealers victimizing fans. So he’s joined a California lawmaker to fight those fakes.

A bill pending in the state assembly would give all signed collectibles the same protections as sports memorabilia, meaning they must be authenticated.

Hamill says it may be a tough battle, but in true Skywalker form, he says, “We can’t let them get away with it.”
