$2M Powerball Winner Used Completed Numbers Found On Discarded Ticket
A lucky lottery player is a millionaire after using someone else’s Powerball numbers.
FOX’s Rich Denison explains:
The old adage that one person’s trash is another’s treasure proved true for a Florida man. 19-year-old Fred Walker went to a Central Florida convenience store to buy a Powerball ticket for last week’s record drawing.
He found a discarded, but completed play slip and decided to try those numbers. Turns out he matched the five main numbers, but missed the Powerball. Normally that makes the ticket worth a $1-million dollars, but Fred played the multiplier, making his ticket worth $2-million.
