President Obama's call for keeping guns out of the hands of mentally ill people gets support from an unlikely person.

FOX's Gary Baumgarten reports:

Jannette Williams has suffered from severe mental illness for three decades. She says she once had a legal gun, but it was stolen.

The Detroit woman says getting a permit for another one would be as easy as filling out a 10 question form and showing her driver's license:

(Williams) "I do have a mental illness and I admit I do. I can go back down there tomorrow and re-do my application and go and get me a gun."

Williams says the rules should be tightened so that people like her can't buy guns legally.

But some therapists say under such a rule, some people who might need treatment, won't get it for fear it will be reported to a national data base.
