Quinnipiac Poll: Donald Trump Leads Ted Cruz in Iowa

As Iowans get set to caucus in three weeks, a new poll looks at who is getting the most support prior to the first official contest of the campaign.

FOX’s Gurnal Scott with more:

Republican caucus-goers are seeing a tight race at the very top… The latest Quinnipiac poll shows Donald Trump leading the pack, but not by much. He’s got 31% support. Texas Senator Ted Cruz is close behind with 29%.

The rest of the top tier has Marco Rubio at 15%, Ben Carson at 7%, and Chris Christie at 4%. One-time favorite Jeb Bush only gets only 3% support.

Cruz, while just short of Trump overall, outpoints the front-runner on character. Trump gets the edge in leadership.

The caucuses are set for February 1.
