Mexican-born drug kingpin 'El Chapo' had been on the run since last summer, following an elaborate break-out from a maximum security facility in Mexico. But Mexico's President just tweeted out that he's been recaptured, finally.

FOX's Eben Brown reports:

'El Chapo', real name Joaquin Guzman, had been on the run since this past summer after a sensational prison break. Using his connections and his money through Sinaloa cartel, he arranged for sophisticated tunnels to be dug under the prison in Mexico where he was being held, direct to the shower stall he used.

Guzman then fled unnoticed, using a rail car installed in the tunnel. His escape was considered a major embarrassment for the Mexican government, which had originally hailed his arrest as proof they were gaining the upper hand in the country's drawn battles for power with narcotics criminals.
