Enrique Marquez Pleads Not Guilty to Providing Guns to San Bernardino Attackers
The man accused of providing weapons to the San Bernardino terrorists has pleaded not guilty in federal court.
FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal reports:
Enrique Marquez wore a white jumpsuit, he was shackled, and appeared attentive in court. A federal grand jury indicted him on five counts, including providing material support to commit acts of violence, lying about purchasing two rifles, marriage fraud, and visa fraud.
He pleaded not guilty and a trial date was set for February 23… His mother was in court for the very brief hearing…
While authorities say he did not know about the San Bernardino attack ahead of time, his plotting with Syed Farook a few years ago helped lay the foundation for it, as did the gun purchases. Those guns were used in the San Bernardino attack.
After the shooting, Marquez checked himself into a mental health facility and ended up speaking to the FBI at length while there.
