Ben Carson Loses a Pair of Top Campaign Aides

A top-tier Republican presidential candidate will start the new year looking for new top aides.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

Doctor Ben Carson has lost a pair of top aides. Campaign manager Barry Bennett and Communications director Doug Watts have resigned.

In a statement Watts says, “We respect the candidate and are proud of our efforts and wish the campaign the best of luck.”

Carson in recent interviews has suggested changes were coming to his campaign, after a series of polls showed the retired neurosurgeon dropping from front-runner status.

Still, the Carson campaign raised about $23-million in this year’s final months.
