SpaceX Successfully Lands Rocket
A private U.S. aerospace company has launched a rocket to space and had it return safely to Earth to be reused, just minutes after delivering its cargo.
FOX’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:
SpaceX’s redesigned rocket blasted off…
“…One. Zero. We have liftoff of the Falcon 9!”
And after ensuring a client’s palate of orbiting satellites were sent off beyond the atmosphere, the rocket’s main stage did a 180…
“That is that first stage coming back down to land.”
Making a soft landing on a pad in Florida, using it’s own rockets.
Reusable rockets could save space transit companies and maybe even NASA untold millions. SpaceX is already contracted for running cargo and eventually astronauts for NASA.
