Defense Secretary Ash Carter Admits To Using Personal Email For Work

The Defense Secretary makes a mea culpa.

FOX’s Radio’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:

Defense Secretary Ash Carter now admits that he occasionally used his personal iPhone to send emails to immediate staff – during his first months on the job.

Carter, whose actions violated a Pentagon policy, called the practice a mistake and stressed that no classified information was involved.

John McCain, the Republican Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee has already requested that the Pentagon turn over copies of the emails. The Committee will also be conducting a review to ensure that sensitive information was not compromised.
