‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is expected to break box office records when it opens this week… Fandango’s Harry Medved…
(Medved) “‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is Fandango’s top advanced ticket seller in the 15-year history of the company… It’s unprecedented… We’ve never seen ticket sales like this.”
Industry analysts are predicting the film to open to $210-million or more surpassing the current record held by ‘Jurassic World’ at $208.8-million… Medved says it’s currently 90% of ticket sales…
(Medved) “So 84% of the people on Fandango said it’s the new female leads that’s exciting them.”
‘The Force Awakens’ opens nationwide Friday.
