The Pentagon’s boss testifies about the military fight against Islamic State terrorists overseas.

Defense Secretary Ash Carter tells Senators the U.S. is bringing intelligence and targeting information to the Iraqi Army battling the Islamic State, and is prepared to send attack helicopters and to get more help from other nations…
(Carter) “I personally reached out to my counterparts in 40 countries around the world in the coalition and asked them to contribute more, in many cases, contribute much more in enhancing the fight against ISIL.”
Carter says that fight is building momentum.
