House Passes Bill Tightening Visa-Waiver Program

    The house, debating a bill that’d make it harder for people who’ve been in Iraq or Syria, to enter the United States.

    The house made quick work to tighten visa requirements for Western passport holders who have traveled to or are citizens of a country considered terror hot spots…

    (McCaul) “This bill will help close those security gaps to keep terrorists from crossing borders.”

    Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul noting some of the Paris attackers came from countries currently included in a visa-waiver program to expedite travel.

    This bill would force anyone who has been to Iraq or Syria in the past five years to get a visa before traveling to the U.S.
