Los Angeles Mother in Custody, Accused of Burying Her Newborn Alive
A Los Angeles mother is in custody accused of burying alive her newborn baby girl along a local bike path.
FOX News’ Gurnal Scott reports:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies are crediting public assistance and media reports for helping to find the infant.
She was wrapped in a hospital blanket, but covered in a hole by pieces of asphalt and other debris… Cries of the child, then thought to be only hours old, led two women walking on the path near a creek bed to find her and alert authorities.
The baby’s health is said to be stable and is being closely monitored. Police believe the child would not have survived an entire night outside.
The mother’s name was not released following her arrest.
