Congress is facing another deadline to keep government funded and open.

FOX News' Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Government funding expires Friday night and key lawmakers have yet to finish drafting a plan to prevent a government shutdown...

Despite a two-year budget agreement passed earlier this year, Republicans and Democrats are still at odds over so-called policy riders...

A block of conservatives are insisting on stripping funds for Planned Parenthood as part of any funding measure and there's also a push from some Republicans to include language barring the U.S. from accepting refugees from Iraq and Syria.

Congressional leaders have been optimistic a deal can be brokered, but may need to pass a short-term stop-gap at the end of the week to buy more time.
