North Carolina Teacher Resigns After Reportedly Putting Soap in Student’s Mouth

A North Carolina kindergarten teacher has resigned amid an investigation into whether she washed out a student’s mouth with soap.

    FOX News’ Joe Chiaro reports:

Guilford County Schools says Tiffani Staton, teacher at Wiley Elementary School in Greensboro, had been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

It all began after some parents complained to the principal… The incident not sitting too well with people in the community…

(Member of Community) “It’s sad, it’s disheartening, it’s disappointing, it’s vexing… When you take your child to school, you trust they’re in the best care and you don’t want anything done to them that you don’t do.”

Police say if the allegation is true, they’ll go to the D.A. to see whether a crime was committed.
