The former front man for Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland is found dead.

Scott Weiland, the lead singer for the Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, has died. Weiland was found late Thursday night on his tour bus according to TMZ.
The 48-year-old famously battled substance abuse for years.
He was currently on tour with his new band Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts. The California native started STP with his brothers and the band saw huge commercial success in the early 90's with songs like 'Plush', 'Interstate Love Song', and 'Vasoline'.
Its unclear what caused Weiland's death.
