Indiana Governor Faces Lawsuit For Not Letting Syrian Refugees In

As the debate about whether or not to let refugees from Syria into the U.S., one governor is facing a lawsuit for not letting them in his state.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:

A lot of governors don’t want Syrian refugees in their states, and now Indiana’s governor, Mike Pence, is being sued over his decision to keep them out.

The ACLU of Indiana filed the suit on Monday on behalf of exodus refugee immigration.

It accuses Pence of violating the equal protection clause of the constitution and Title 11 of the Civil Rights Act by accepting refugees from other countries, but not those from Syria.

Last week, a family that escaped Syria was diverted from Indiana to Connecticut when Gov. Pence ordered state agencies to stop resettlement activities.
