Troops in Syria Claim to Capture Areas from ISIS
Troops in Syria say they’ve captured areas from ISIS.
FOX’s Jessica Golloher has the details:
Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, with the help of Russian-backed airstrikes, have taken the village of Mheen and the nearby town of Hawareen from ISIS, according to the Britain based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Government troops have re-captured dozens of villages in the country, from the Islamic insurgents, since the Kremlin’s air campaign began there on September 30.
Moscow carried out 141 airstrikes over the weekend, hitting 472 terrorist targets, according to RIA Novosti; Russia’s state-run news agency.
