Two Flights To Paris Diverted Due To Threats
Two flights headed from the U.S. to Paris were diverted on Tuesday after receiving an anonymous threat.
FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has details:
One flight had taken off from Dulles Airport and was diverted to Halifax on Canada’s east coast.
Keith Russo was on the other flight, which had taken off from Los Angeles and was diverted to Salt Lake City.
(Russo) “And then an announcement was made over the loudspeaker that we would be making an emergency landing, that the flight attendants were trained for situations such as this.”
He says the fire and police met them on the runway, where they sat for a while…
(Russo) “They put stairs up to the emergency exits and within ten minutes we disembarked the plane.“
…And told by the FBI they’d be doing interviews about what happened.
His flight was able to take off later, while those on the other plane stayed the night in Canadian hotels.
