A new study shows what most Americans are just now finding out, the cost of health insurance is going up.

FOX's Jon Decker has more from the White House:

The study by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation finds that this year's most popular healthcare plans under Obamacare are raising premiums an average of 15% in 2016.

The study suggests the way to avoid big premium increases next year is to make a change during the current open season.

The study released comes out as sign-up season for subsidized private coverage under the Affordable Care Act is in its third week.

The Obama administration agrees with the study's finding with a spokesman advising consumers that shopping around for a healthcare plan could save you money.
