Senate Republicans are thinking about dropping an effort to defund Planned Parenthood.

FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Republican leaders in the Senate are pondering what to do about a budget reconciliation bill that cuts off funding to Planned Parenthood and rolls back key parts of the Affordable Care Act.

Republicans have long been aiming to repeal much of Obamacare through the reconciliation process. Some GOPers are concerned they won't be able to get enough votes for reconciliation if the language to defund the organization remains in the measure.

Republicans need 51 votes to pass it.
