Many Around the Country Want to Keep Syrian Refugees Out

The state department says the policy stands, but there’s a growing call in this country to keep Syrian refugees out.

FOX News’ Jared Halpern reports from Washington:

Several governors and Republican members of Congress want the Obama administration to suspend a program intended to relocate about 10,000 Syrian refugees, those most victimized by ISIS…

President Obama says…

(President Obama) “It is our moral obligation as fellow human beings to help people who are in such vulnerable situations.”

The White House insists all refugees must pass rigorous screening…

But the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee has his doubts, writing in a letter to the President agencies lack resources to properly vet refugees for ties to terrorism.
