Lawsuit Filed by Over a Hundred Of Women Over Birth Control Pills
More than a 100 women are joining a negligence suit against drug companies and distributors of birth control pills.
FOX News’ Kathleen Maloney with the story:
According to the suit, birth control pills were not in the correct order in some packages. 113 women claim they got pregnant while taking them, 94 went on to give birth.
In their negligence suit filed in Philadelphia, the women are demanding damages for lost income, medical expenses, and in some cases the cost of raising their kids… But legal experts say it’s not enough to prove the product was defective.
When half a million packages were voluntarily recalled four years ago, only 53 had the pills in the wrong order.
The pills were made by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Endo Pharmaceuticals.
