Russia Facing Exclusion From Track and Field Events Around the World

    Russia facing exclusion from track and field events around the world, including the Olympics.

    FOX News’ Simon Owen reports from the European bureau:

    An exceptionally critical report for the World Anti-Doping Agency recommending Russia be suspended from International Track and Field, for widespread doping and cover-ups.

    (Pound) “It’s worse than we thought.”

    The chairman of the investigating panel, Dick Pound, saying the 2012 Olympics in London were sabotaged and accusing the Russian government of involvement:

    (Pound) “All of this could not have happened without the knowledge of and either the exact or implied consent of the state authorities.”

    In response, the Russian Athletics Federation saying it will defend itself. Track and Field’s governing body will now consider the report.
