Medical Marijuana Now Sold in Illinois
For the first time ever, medical marijuana is being sold in Illinois.
FOX News’ Jeff Monosso has the story:
Eight marijuana dispensaries open today in Illinois with four them here in the Chicago area. That’ll serve 3,300 registered medical marijuana users.
(Wilson) “To be quite frank, if you had been talking to me two years ago I would have been one of those people who consider this a stigma for other people.”
A stigma though Bill Wilson, who says he’s never smoked pot, suffers from bulging discs and arthritis of the spine. He’ll be one of the first in line today.
Officials say the medical marijuana will come in child resistant and tamper proof packaging. 22 states and D.C. now have medical marijuana laws on the books.
