Chris Stapleton’s Magic Ride Continues

There’s a new star in country music, shooting to the top of the charts.

Chris Stapleton made a big name for himself at last week’s CMA Awards show. Known as a writer before he was the top ‘New Artist’ and ‘Male Vocalist’ and won ‘Album of the Year’…

(Stapleton) “About two years ago I lost my dad and I made this record thinking a lot about the music he would have liked.”

And a lot of people watching on ABC liked him and rushed to buy Stapleton’s debut album…

(Stapleton & Timberlake) “Oh that sweet Tennessee Whiskey…”

‘Traveller’ re-entered the Billboard 200 chart as the No. 1 album and that song ‘Tennessee Whiskey,’ which he performed with Justin Timberlake on the show was No. 2 for the week in digital sales.

Before this, none of Stapleton’s songs cracked the top 40 in Country Radio airplay charts.
