Ben Carson’s on the Hot Seat in Milwaukee
The Republican Presidential candidates will gather in Milwaukee Tuesday for a debate and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson could face questions about aspects of his life story that have recently come under scrutiny.
FOX’s John Roberts in Milwaukee reports, one of Carson’s rivals is weighing in on the controversy:
A big debate tomorrow night for a number of reasons… Chris Christie and Mike Huckabee didn’t make the main stage and will be relegated to the under-card. It also marks the return to the top of the polls for Donald Trump, he leads again nationally and in Iowa.
And the possibility of some fireworks between Trump and Ben Carson, with Trump now questioning Carson’s honesty about stories Carson has told about his childhood. Carson insists they are true and doesn’t think much of Trump for making hay of it…
(Trump) “This is the first time in history where you want to prove that you hit your mother with a hammer, you want to prove that you hit a friend in the face with a lock, you want to prove that you tried to stab somebody to death in order to have credibility.”
Trump says when he hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ the cast wanted to do a skit about Carson’s troubles, but Trump vetoed it, saying he didn’t want to take the blame.
