Former President George H.W. Bush Slams Dick Cheney In New Book
The architects of post-9/11 U.S. policies have a new critic… Former President George H.W. Bush.
FOX News’ Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
Harsh words for key members of his son’s administration are revealed in a new biography of George H.W. Bush authored by Jon Meacham.
In the book titled ‘Destiny and Power,’ the elder Bush says former Vice President Dick Cheney turned more hard-line, describing him as an “iron ass.”
Cheney, who is reading the book, says that’s a mark of pride…
(Cheney) “I was aggressive in defending and carrying out what I thought were the right policies.”
But Bush says he though Cheney was too independent and said of his son’s defense chief Donald Rumsfeld…
“There’s a lack of humility, a lack of seeing what the other guy thinks.” Rumsfeld declined comment to FOX News.
