Automakers Post Big October Sales Gains

The latest U.S. auto sales numbers puts the industry within reach the annual record of 17.35 million set in 2000. Sales have been helped by cheap financing, incentives, and low gas prices.

FOX News’ Jeff Monosso has the story:

Most major automakers are reporting double-digit U.S. sales gains for October as the industry rolls toward what could be a record-setting year.

GM thanks to it’s Sliverado pickup says its sales rose almost 16% last month. Fiat Chrysler reported a gain of nearly 15% off it’s Jeep brand.

Ford reports a 13% gain with a strong showing for the redesigned Edge, Mustang and F-150 pickup. Nissan’s sales rose 12.5%. Honda says its sales rose almost 9%.

While Volkswagen saw a small sales gain last month amid the companies’ emissions-cheating scandal.
