The House of Representatives has a new leader.

FOX News Radio's Rachel Sutherland reports:

With 236 votes, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan takes the gavel, becoming the next Speaker of the House, replacing the outgoing John Boehner... who said farewell from the House floor this morning.

(Boehner) "I know he'll serve with grace and energy and I want to wish him and his family all of the best."

Beohner reflected on his years on Capitol Hill... saying there twists and turns... and:

(Boehner) "Even a few tears... Nothing wrong with that."

Ryan's family in the Speaker's box, along with 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who tapped Ryan as his running mate.
