General Motors and UAW Avoid Strike
No strike for General Motors workers.
FOX News Radio’s Carmen Roberts has details:
It went down to the wire, but negotiators reached a deal just before the midnight-strike deadline.
The United Auto Workers union and General Motors agreed on a tentative pact for a new 4-year labor contract that will cover 53,000 auto workers in the U.S., but that’s just the first step.
Local Union leaders meet in Detroit Wednesday to vote on the deal. If it passes there, workers at GM plants in the U.S. get to vote.
Fiat Chrysler workers approved a new contract last week… No agreement with Ford yet.
