Connecticut Jury Rejects Aunt’s Suit Over Her 12-Year-Old Nephew
A verdict in the case of a 12-year-old boy who was sued by his aunt back when he was eight years old.
FOX News Radio’s Bill Vitka explains:
Jennifer Connell is the auntie who sued her own nephew. She says the eight-year-old acted unreasonably when his exuberant greeting caused her to fall and break her wrist in 2011.
And pointing to lasting damage, Connell testified that she had found it “difficult to hold her hors-d’oeuvre plate” at a recent party.
She had been seeking $127,000 in damages. Instead it took a Connecticut jury 25 minutes to reach a verdict awarding her zero damages.
