Zimbabwe Won’t Charge U.S. Dentist with Killing Cecil the Lion
He’s a killer dentist who may have gotten off by the skin of his teeth. The Minnesota man reviled for shooting a famed African lion is apparently not going to face charges.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Zimbabwe will not charge Minneapolis dentist Walter Palmer, who shot and killed Cecil the lion with a bow and arrow in a guided hunt in Southern Africa in July, sparking outrage by animal rights groups.
But officials in Zimbabwe say Palmer did obtain legal authority, his papers were in order to conduct the hunt, and that he’s free to come back to the country as a tourist.
Palmer’s guide and a landowner have been charged with luring the prized lion out of a national park.
